plant and asset structure

An important module is the administration and structuring of the plants and assets.

Due to the flexible structuring on any number of levels, SMaintain can represent a company in the desired level of detail.

By naming each created level the user can create structures such as "Branch-->Department-->Production Line--> Machine” which are good examples for a general structuring of a company.

Since each company is becoming more and more modularized, parts of the structure can be duplicated and moved. This supports quick collection and expansion of the plant data.

Physical parts within the plant structure are called assets. Assets are unique and have a unique identification number (e.g. serial number or inventory number).

More assets of the same kind can be classified with the asset class (e.g. electro motors, cranes, drillers and more...)

The assets can be assigned anywhere in the plant structure. Assets can be moved, for example if a particular motor is dismantled and after repair reused in another machine within the companies plant structure.

This requires that the history with all the details and data remain with the asset, but the costs are recorded at the plant structure where the asset was used when the costs occurred.

All of the features offer a most flexible structuring and administration of all the plants and assets.

Many data information attributes can be assigned to the assets as they are: spare part lists, documents like pictures calculations etc., elapsed meter values, free definable asset class dependent technical data sheets.

Additional functions like graphical navigation or full text query in the plant structure and asset administration are offered for the users convenience.
